Welcome

In February 2007, a student and parent-focused workshop titled “Facebook 101” was introduced at the Halton District School Board’s inaugural Parent Involvement evening.

Created to educate students, parents and educators about the benefits and risks of using the world’s largest social networking site, word-of-mouth soon spread on Facebook 101‘s measurable value to all. As of January 2012, the workshop has been delivered to more than 210,000 students throughout 22 Ontario School Boards and independent schools.

As both Facebook & Twitter rapidly become an integral part of our social media strategy, a business version of the Facebook 101 & Twitter 101 workshop is being rolled out to help employers, employees and HR executives understand and harness the enormous potential that Social Media tools can play in their quest to attract extraordinary talent, candidate selection and detailed background checking. As well, employee indiscretions around violation of company policy, trade secrets, and customer abuses via their social networking profiles can be identified, isolated and utilized in either disciplinary or termination procedures.

SocialMedia Trust adds value by working closely with its clients to develop, co-ordinate and administer vital Social Media tools to help grow their businesses, enrich customer service quality, engage and acquire new customers, and invite meaningful employee involvement around the organization’s objectives.
